MISC — Material Industrial Sales & Consulting — is an independent manufacturer's representation firm for commercial roofing and waterproofing. We work with architects, roofing and waterproofing consultants, general contractors, roofing contractors, and the owners to provide predictability, stability and utility throughout the project cycle .

It seems to me that we are all going to be building our own tools in the not too distant future.
We represent manufacturer's in roofing and waterproofing. The job is to turn the owners desire into a plan that can be followed by a multi-faceted team, and then follow it through — specification, details, takeoffs, the job start, and the warranty.
Our philosophy on automation
AI is a tool. It’s not perfect.
AI is a tool and currently its capability is at a level where it can do adequate work with consistently repeatable, well-defined tasks. It’s not perfect. It can do a task correctly 50 times and then make a mistake, so there’s truly little it’s capable of running fully unmanaged.
We further believe that while our work product isn’t anything especially unique, our commitment to not training frontier models is unique. This is why we have a local-first, zero-trust building schema.

I came to this from a non-technical background. The detail drawings, takeoffs and daily brief behind MISC run on open-source software on a machine in our own building. Nothing about a client's project leaves it.
